Nature Valley Big Tennis Weekend

Try tennis for free at this year’s Nature Valley’s Big Tennis Weekend events.

There will be various different coaching sessions available, free of charge, with expert coaching teams.

There will be sessions to suit the whole family, including:

  • Mini Tennis Sessions
  • Family Time
  • Free Play
  • Cardio Tennis and many more!

No equipment will be needed as this will be provided at the events.

There are numerous local events to be held on Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th May 2019, then Saturday 29th June and Sunday 30th June, followed by Saturday 20th July and Sunday 21st July 2019.  Click on the links below for further details of each event:

WHAT'S ON IN BURY - Ramsbottom Chocolate Festival

Ramsbottom Chocolate Festival – 6th-7th April 2019

Ramsbottom Chocolate Festival returns this weekend for its 11th year.

There will be stalls and entertainment: –

  • Market Place and Civic Hall will host a fun truck, hot food and drinks plus an indoor food and craft market.
  • Bridge Street will hold a chocolate market featuring artisan chocolate makers with food and gift stalls.
  • Church Gardens will feature a chocolate market with gift stalls, hot food and drink.

When: Saturday 10am – 5pm / Sunday 10am – 4pm

Where: Market Place, Ramsbottom BL0 9HT

There will be a park and ride operating from Woodhey High School.

Come along to this Orienteering event to try your hand at something new.

Organised by South East Lancashire Orienteering Club (SELOC), the event is suitable for all levels of ability. Certificates will be given to all juniors.

Registration takes place: 11:30am – 1pm in the Green Cafe.

Course Starts: 12pm – 2pm

Where: Chesham Woods, Walmersley Road, Bury BL9 6NF

Cost: £4 Adults, £2 Juniors

British Science Week – Science Show

Join this fun and interactive family-friendly science show journeying through the history and achievements of scientists at Jodrell Bank.

From the Apollo Moon missions to exploding stars and black holes, there are lots of things to discover and join in with.

The show will last approximately 45 minutes and is aimed at aged 7+
