At Stagecoach Bury, the weekly fun and engaging classes help enhance life skills such as confidence, discipline, concentration and commitment. All of the inspirational teachers have performing arts experience so they know what it takes to perform and how to nurture young people’s confidence.
Through learning the performing arts, students become more self-assured, expressive, sociable and imaginative – so they can tackle any new situation with resilience, creativity and courage.
Alongside the weekly classes, Stagecoach Bury also run holiday workshops for existing students, and as an opportunity to welcome new students. The Summer workshop this year runs from 9am to 5pm, Monday 29th July to Friday 2nd August and culminates in a fully costumed, and staged production, on the Friday afternoon at their fantastic venue, The Met Theatre.
Jill Schoonjans, Principal of Stagecoach Bury, is thrilled to announce that they have the performance rights for ‘Matilda!’ so students will be learning songs, drama scenes and choreographed dance routines from the stage show. Students will also engage in drama, dance and singing workshops with our fantastic team of teachers. Most importantly, they will make new friends and develop ‘creative courage for life’.
